Last week, I went to Chicago for a few days. I had a great time exploring the city, shopping, and visiting museums. Here are some photos taken during the trip!
I love this Frida Kahlo/ Hello Kitty street art in Wicker Park! Two of my favorite things!
Chicago was quite chilly compared to the steamy Nashville weather, and I didn't do a very good job with my packing. I wore this sequined sweater a lot during the trip to keep warm, and I picked up these Zara tights to make up for the lack of pants in my suitcase. My skirt is from Target, my sweater is thrifted from Goodwill, and my bag is Kreepsville 666 from Search & Destroy in NYC.
While in Wicker Park, I met up with blogger, Meagan, of Latter Style. She was kind enough to show me around the area. We had fun visiting bookstores and vintage shops.
Meagan has a very cool, refined sense of style. Check out her blog!
On the street, across from the Art Institute of Chicago
I loved seeing this installation by Felix Gonzales-Torres at the Art Institute. I've read about it in my art history texts; it was awesome to see it in person!
Wearing a Green Galaxy Dress c/o Pink Queen, a vintage cardigan, a harness by Gnat Brilmyer, and one of my handmade headbands
I have sooo many pairs of sunglasses (thanks to the awesome people at Giant Vintage), but sure enough, I forgot to bring sunglasses with me on my trip. I ended up buying these super-cute heart sunnies at Akira Accessories.
