I bought this kimono jacket from H&M while I was living in Providence, Rhode Island this past summer. I was immediately drawn to the colorful agate/marble pattern. The fabric is just too beautiful for words, and it's a really fun layering piece. For this look, I contrasted the organic nature of the jacket with structured button-down.

I matched the layered top half with some American Eagle skinny jeans from my days as a middle schooler. I accessorized the look with the Betsey Johnson earrings I bought for Prom last year and my trusty handmade butterfly hat. Also, a polka dotted bangle.. cause I'm going through a polka dot obsession.

I really love the look of buttoned-up collared shirts, and I've recently discovered large dress shirts from the boy's department of Ralph Lauren fit me perfectly. The boy's shirts have a boxier shape and a more retro feel to me. I don't really like the fit of women's blouses- too many darts and too much structure.

These shoes are my proudest Black Friday find. I ordered them from during their mega sale after thanksgiving. I had been stalking them for a while, and I really like the look of clear shoes. Plus, clear shoes give me a great excuse for cute socks. They are a bit impractical, but whatever! They're fun!

White jeans, American Eagle.  Button-down, Ralph Lauren Polo (from the boy's department). Kimono jacket, H&M. Socks, Bangle, Forever 21. Earrings, Betsey Johnson. Meow meow

I went to an art show reception on Sunday afternoon, and this is what I wore! This dress is my "art show dress," and I tend to save it for special occasions, primarily art openings. I love it's retro shape and bright red color! It's always a joy to wear! (Despite the angsty look on my face in all these photos..)
This tiger headband is one of the first headbands I made, and I always feel so fierce whenever I wear it!

I found these heart earrings at Walmart the other day. I've never really been accessory shopping at Walmart before, but they have some pretty kawaii things on occasion...

This jacket is probably one of my best-ever Goodwill finds. Not only is it a super high quality Moschino Cheap & Chic jacket, but it coordinates with nearly everything I wear!

My nail polish is "Radiant" by Revlon. However, I coated all my nails on my right hand with various other glittery shades from the Sephora nail polish display. The two large cocktail rings I'm wearing are from some random craft supply store. My Frida Kahlo ring is from Pangaea, a super funky boutique in Nashville. The turquoise ring is from Santa Fe, a 15th birthday gift. The blue stone ring is antique.

I'm all about this fluorescent clear purse. I admired similar purses when they first appeared on runways, and I was super excited when I found this bag at Forever 21 last year. It was pretty inexpensive, and it has held up surprisingly well. Plus, it's really easy to find my belongings. Please disregard how I'm awkwardly carrying around masking tape. #artistproblems I suppose...

Dress, Kenzie. Jacket, Moschino Cheap & Chic. Bag, Forever 21. Shoes, Jeffrey Campbell. Necklace, vintage. Earrings, Walmart. Sunglasses, Savant Vintage Couture. Lipstick, MAC Cosmetics Paintstick in Cyan. Headband, Corsage, handmade by me. You can buy similar floral accessories on my Etsy Shop!

Here's a picture of me with my piece at the museum! The work is a self-portrait photograph in which I glued googly eyes to my face and pinned flowers in my hair. I created the piece as an exploration of blindness, perception, and identity. I took the photograph a while back, as you can probably tell by my length of hair and lack of flowers.
The show is an Advanced Placement Studio Art featuring high school artists from across the state of Tennessee. It's located at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. If you're in the Nashville area, you should check it out!

Ice Cream Cone

I've been after this hat at Savant Vintage Couture for nearly a year, and I finally decided to buy it a couple weeks ago. I love the unusual shape; I've never found a hat quite like it.
When I wore it to school last week, I caused quite the riot.. I have been labeled a "conehead," and I heard many people compare me to various cone-shaped objects.. cornucopias, ice-cream cones, beehives, etc. Hater's gonna hate.. or something like that.
I pinned a pink flower from Forever 21 to the front to stay true to my Girl with the Flower trademark.

Hat, Savant Vintage Couture. Trench coat, Purse, Tights, Target. Shirt, Liz Claiborne. Shorts, vintage Rustler cutoffs. Flower Clip, Spike Bracelet, Forever 21. Eye Necklace, Claire's Accessories. Pink Necklace, vintage. Shoes, Sam Edelman. Lipstick, MAC Cosmetics.

My last post about Instagram included this headband and these sunglasses, but I wanted to showcase them in an outfit post. I made this headband last week during my Thanksgiving break from school. It includes five dinosaur figurines, in addition to several flowers and rhinestones. The goal was for it to be completely overloaded with kawaii items. It's heavier than most of my other headbands, so I added ribbons on the back to it can stay securely fastened on my head. I'm not yet sure if I want to sell it on my Etsy shop.
I'm also really loving these sunglasses from Savant Vintage Couture! I don't think I've ever encountered a more fabulous pair of sunglasses!

Dress, altered vintage from Goodwill. Jacket, bedazzled National Championship jacket originally from Goodwill. Tights, Belt, Target. Necklace, Bracelet, vintage. Earrings, Forever 21. Cowboy boots, Corral Boots. Sunglasses, Savant Vintage Couture. Headband, handmade by me.
