Pearls + Studs

This is what I wore out shopping today. The short, flirty skirt and the preppy button-down reminds me a great deal of Karla's Closet. Recently, I am quite obsessed with the soft/hard combination of the pearls and the studded cuff. I have found myself drooling over this combination everywhere-- in stores, magazines, and blogger feeds. I rediscovered Picnik photo editing today too. I haven't been able to make it work on my Mac, and I finally made it work today (yay!). I made lots and lots of photo collages.
My mom's Subversive for Target necklace I borrowed...
These are my new Pour la Victoire sandals. I found them at T.J. Maxx last week. I love them so much, I thought them worthy of their own collage. I just Googled them, and located them on the brand's website. I found out that they have a name too-- Bridgette. They come in hot pink too! Oh my goodness-- what on Earth would we do without Google!?

Hype me on Lookbook guys!

This video is truly amazing. I had never heard of The Uniform Project until now, and I am in awe! I know that when I read fashion blogs, I rarely ever watch the videos that bloggers post. If you watch only one fashion blogger video this year, make it this one! Just watching it once has had a profound impact on my fashion point of view.

I see London, I see France.

Here are a few of the Parisienne-inspired looks I have come across in the past few days. There are so many classic shapes paired with stripes and polka dots galore! All the looks are from Chictopia, and photos link back to their original locations.
*Let me know if you want me to remove one of your images.*

I love this feature from InStyle. The picture of Brigitte Bardot is just too wonderful for words.

Here's some French music to complement the French fashion fix.

"And now, I'm just trying to change the world, one sequin at a time."

A couple nights ago, I went to a costume ball with a couple of my friends. We decided to use Lady Gaga as our inspiration after discussing our obsession with the Gaga GLEE episode. We all did each other's hair and face-paint.

The Cat's Meow

These are some photos that I took with my friends yesterday. We turned off the lights and used a color-splash effect by holding colored films and fabrics in front of the flash. I'm not gonna lie-- I really love wearing this kitty mask.
Skirt, Wilster. Tee Shirt, Urban Outfitters. Kitty Mask, Party City.

Here is another photo I took yesterday of an auditorium on a slow shutter speed.

We Can Stand the Rain

I recently came across this spread from NYLON magazine. It's from a few months ago, but I think it's still super duper adorable.
Now isn't this photo just too precious for words?!

I am in love with this Topshop raincoat-- just too cool for words, and it would go with everything!

I have already posted this look before in a post I did about monochromatic outfits, but it was from this same NYLON spread. I thought I would go ahead and post it again because I love it so much.

Girl with the Flower(s)

Here are some pictures that I took of my friend recently. We thought it would be fun to play with my hair flower collection. In these pictures, my friend literally has all of my flowers in her hair at once. I love how they have a great retro feel.

Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

This is what I wore yesterday. I felt like wearing something vintage-y, hince the bell sleeves and high-waisted shorts. I really love this combination, especially with the accessories. I haven't worn this pair of shorts yet since the weather has gotten warm, and I had forgotten how much I like them.

I'm Loving... Motorcycle Jackets!

Recently, I have come across many looks on the world wide web that feature motorcycle jackets. I love their versatility! Every time I searched motorcycle jackets on Chictopia, I would come across TheHautePursuit. She wears them in so many different ways. Too bad this obsession is coming at the absolute wrong season of the year. The photos link back to their various locations.
